Chiswick Voices is the senior choir of the Chiswick School and is delighted to be on a concert tour to explore Flanders, Lille, and the surrounding region. The choir, which consists of 41 singers aged 13 to 17, rehearses daily and has performed prestigious works such as Faurés Requiem, Mahler's 2nd Symphony, Beethoven's 9th Symphony, and Carmina Burana.
In 2025, they became the first British public secondary school to perform the Vespers in Eton College and Windsor Castle. Their upcoming concert at St. George’s Church in Ypres will be a two-part concert. The first part contains well-known choral classics such as Faurés Cantique de Jean Racine, Sanctus, and Libera Me. The second part is dedicated to modern and popular music, with songs like \"A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square\" and hits by Barry Manilow, Bob Dylan, and the Beach Boys.
The choir is led by the music teacher, Mr. Zac Moxon.
The choir will perform on Sunday, July 19, at 4:00 PM in St. George’s Church in Ypres. This is a free concert, with a collection held afterwards for the benefit of the church.
