Bien Fermer Le Robinet Merci

Sat, 6 Jun 2026 · 20:00
Théâtre de la Vie, Brussels
The show is about this: don't do this, don't do that, not like that, don't touch, don't scream, don't run, don't eat, stop that, give, leave, spit, on your knees, without moving, without breathing, die, die, die. Bien Fermer Le Robinet Merci talks about bodies kneaded with prohibitions since childhood and questions the rights that adults have granted themselves over them. It talks in particular about the body of girls*, rendered harmless and usable for others, and out of use for itself. It talks about transmission, from mother to daughter*, about this impracticable, anemic, powerless body. But it is not the story of pain. It is the story of a BOMB. Result: a zany, noisy, undisciplined, physical, rhythmic, hyperactive, pie-in-the-face, bloody, idiotic, jubilant theater: which finally takes its revenge on years of debilitating obedience. In short, Bien Fermer Le Robinet Merci is an explosive and purgative show about learning and docility and about the irrepressible vitality of our bodies. * by “women” or “girls”, the people that dominant power structures seek to define as women or girls; this implies a series of behaviors reserved and imposed on this category of people.
