\"Like the best of Arcade Fire, The Killers of Broken Social Scene Portland fuses greatness with intimacy. Their music invites us to dance and to feel, to sing and to heal.\"
After his breakthrough with the albums 'Your Colours Will Stain' (2019) and Departures (2023), and passages along the most important stages at home and abroad, Jente Pironet ended up in a turbulent period, in which he was forced to take a temporary stop.
2024 began with renewed hope. Pironet was allowed to receive the MIA for best alternative and a triumphant return to sold-out venues followed, with the Lux as the starting point.
The latest long-player 'Champaign' (2025) carries the scars of that difficult period with it, but at the same time expresses an indomitable lust for life.
It reads like a completely honest travel diary of a wandering soul. About falling ... falling hard and deep ... and getting back up. About hoping and stubbornly persisting. And you can hear that!
Portland has never sounded so energetic, mature, and rich.
High time, therefore, to redo one of the most memorable concerts of the 'old' venue.
And that, on Saturday, October 24, because then Portland is coming back ... back to the stage of the legendary Lux.
