CC de Meent welcomes Michel Bisceglia Trio in the context of their 30 ANNIVERSARY & ALBUM RELEASE TOUR. With this tour, the three musicians celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of their trio in an unchanged line-up and the release of their new album ‘The Virgo’ — a special milestone within Belgian jazz. Over three decades, Michel Bisceglia, Werner Lauscher (double bass), and Marc Léhan (drums) have built a close musical identity, carried by mutual trust, refined interplay, and a shared artistic vision. Such continuity — three musicians who continue to create together for thirty years — is extremely rare and underscores the unique place of this trio within Belgian jazz. Michel Bisceglia’s music is often described as poetic and cinematic: a subtle fusion of jazz, classical influences, and a contemporary sound language. In The Virgo sounds clear and mature: new work that leaves room for silence and tension, lyricism and depth, and in which the long shared history of the trio is audibly present. During this concert, Michel Bisceglia Trio will perform compositions from the new album, supplemented with carefully chosen pieces from thirty years of creation.
