Un Anno di Scuola

Trieste, summer 2007. The self-confident Zweedse Fredrika has recently moved to the Italian coastal city and ends up in a technical secondary school in a class full of boys. She is immediately the center of attention, and not only because of her intelligence and knowledge. Gradually she befriends an inseparable trio: the fascinating and modest Antero, the extraverted casanova Pasini, and the sweet, protective Mitis. Together they explore the streets of Trieste, party, share secrets, think about their future, and discover new feelings. Their final school year will mark them forever. Un anno di scuola is the second feature film by Laura Samani. After her debut film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, she traveled with this film to Venice, where the young main cast was awarded for their acting performances. With her second film, she confirms her talent and seems well on her way to growing into a grande dame of Italian cinema.
