The Church is Burning

The church is burning 50-year commemoration with sound & light walk 50 years ago, the Paterskerk burned down, this was a profound event for the people on the spot and the whole city. With the burned-down church as a lasting monument, a central place for the Beguinage and the neighborhood around it. We relive this fire of then with a sound & light show plus walk through the Beguinage. With a thousand candles, smoke, live music, and light effects. Supported by the neighborhood, for the neighborhood and far beyond. Walk along through the Beguinage, around the church ruin, through the monastery garden, and imagine yourself back in 1976 for a moment. For young and old. We provide a bar and food stand with seating at the end, to chat for a while.
