Palmarium: Fenne Kuppens + Laura De Jongh

Due to the extreme heat, this concert was moved to September 9. Ticket buyers were contacted by email. The final event of this concert series celebrates two homegrown talents. While she has already managed to convince the country with her engaging performance with Whispering Sons, the Brussels-based Fenne Kuppens does so just as convincingly solo, but from a quieter, more sparing approach. There is no skimping on melody, which is conjured from piano and cello for the occasion. De Antwerpse harpist Laura De Jongh completes the evening. In her own music, she strives for compositions without a strict end goal, but with stopovers along ambient and new age, with a suitcase full of field recordings at hand. Stillness and beauty, a promising finale for one of our favorite concert series. ••••••••••••••••• The concert series PALMARIUM brings seven evenings of music to the beautiful Botanical Garden of the Gents Universiteitsmuseum.
