In this workshop we really get to work with theater with young people from fourth to sixth grade. They usually already have an interest in acting, so we build on their enthusiasm and talent together. The sessions are guided by Liam, who has a lot of experience with theater and film with young people. We start with games and improvisation to get to know each other, build self-confidence and experiment. Then we make a short film together: the story, the characters and the style are all created by the group. Liam helps with structure and technique, but the young people do it themselves. Later in the year we also work on a real theater performance, based entirely on what moves or concerns them. So we work in three parts: 1. First semester: play, improvisation, basics of acting. 2. Second semester: making a short film together. 3. Third semester: working on an original performance and showing. This workshop is for young people who like to be on stage (or in front of the camera), who like to tell stories and want to grow in creativity, expression and collaboration. It's more intense than an average workshop, but also super engaging – and especially: we make something of it that is entirely theirs.
