Early bird price 15 euros Rumi the Outsider is, after Rumi Passion, the next part in the research of composer Osama Abdulrasol into the contemporary resonance of the work of the medieval Sufi mystic Mevlana Jalal al-Din Muḥammad Rumi. In his spiritual search for meaning and redemption, he danced constantly on the tightrope between tradition and renewal, heavy loss, and ecstatic joy of life. While the first part was conceived as music theater, Rumi the Outsider takes the form of a multidisciplinary concert, in which dance, live music, documentary sound samples, and AI-generated images merge into each other. In this immersive performance by an international team of musicians and makers, the feelings of detachment and existential alienation that mark Rumi’s verses are central.
