Wysiwyg is performing an absolute West End classic for her 27th production: Sunset Boulevard. This impressive musical is based on the iconic film noir by Billy Wilder from 1950. For this special performance, the company joins forces with director Lieven Debrauwer and a symphony orchestra under the direction of Hans Vercauteren brings the compelling score to life. A first for the association to perform with this size of orchestra! Sunset Boulevard tells the tragic story of Norma Desmond, a forgotten star from the era of the silent film. In her dilapidated villa, surrounded by faded glory, she dreams of a triumphant return to the silver screen. When she accidentally meets the young screenwriter Joe Gillis, she sees her chance. What follows is a fatal mix of obsession, romance and ambition. Prices include service charges and an intermission drink.
