La Chapelle Sauvage - Cinema in concert

Opening concert of the concert season of the non-profit organization TOON. The orchestra La Chapelle Sauvage was created on the initiative of the Belgian conductor Karel De Wilde as an international project of young professional musicians from all over the world. What unites them is an untamed musical ambition, combined with a contemporary and open artistic attitude. Alongside a broad classical repertoire, they happily work on diverse projects in various styles. The lineup changes depending on the repertoire, ranging from chamber music to symphonic works, regularly collaborating with choirs and international soloists. In recent years, they have regularly toured with programs centered around film music by, among others, John Williams, Howard Shore, Joe Hisaishi, and Hans Zimmer. Meanwhile, they feel completely at home in the genre. They can mostly be heard abroad, but on October 3rd they will touch down in Roeselare and open the concert season of the non-profit organization TOON with Cinema in Concert: an evening full of highlights from film music. Expect recognizable soundtracks for young and old, alternated with hidden gems that show how rich and versatile film music can be.
