Kiyotaka Izumi was born in Tokyo, Japan. After his studies at the “Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music” he left for Belgium in 1997 to continue his studies and perfect himself. Thus he made it to “Master in Music”, with highest distinction for piano. Afterward, he became a laureate of various international competitions and performed as a soloist with various orchestras. His performances are not limited to the prominent stages in Belgium. He is also a welcome guest abroad, such as in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, England, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, Thailand, and Japan. For us, Kiyotaka brings the program “Seasons” on piano solo. Just as a painter describes nature with colors, a composer and musician describes nature with music. He put together a beautiful palette of impressionist piano pieces with this and takes you through the four seasons with beautiful music by Ravel, Debussy, Fauré, Poulenc, and Milhaud. Four seasons in one concert … you shouldn't miss that !
