AND/OR, Augustijn Vermandere

‘EN/OF’ (AND/OR) is the fifth album by Augustijn. This time fourteen songs, or better: two times seven songs. As on the vinyl version, they are nicely divided over an A-side and a B-side. Or let's say an ‘AND’-side and an ‘OR’-side. Where you find songs with a lot of humor and winks on the AND-side, and the rather more serious songs on the OR-side. Augustijn once received wise advice from his father when he asked whether he should give the audience what they wanted, or whether he should do his own thing: “It is not OR, it is AND!” Black and white or color? Repeating yourself or renewing? Subdued or exuberant? Playful or personal? Funny or serious? Giving or taking? Exactly: It is not OR, it is AND!
