Kaai Man Voor Kaai Man is the Scheldt like the Mississippi; the lost souls of the Vlaamse Polders are no less than those of the American swamps. Kaai Man sings about harbors and water, about life, love, hope, death, and faith, with a voice that braves and conquers the seven seas. A voice propelled by the deceptively simple chords flowing from Kaai Mans acoustic guitar, which sound like a train from long-gone times, coming from a place far away. And at the same time, Kaai Man feels like home. Achter Kaai Man are the Oeverlozen (The Shoreless). Schooled by life, they speak his language, strengthen and broaden his words, and fall silent where there is listening to be done. Using old recipes, mixed with the poison of today, they bring the blues, cabaret, and tearjerkers to life in their arrangements in an authentic way.
