Babette Van Rafelghem is a forensic doctor and performs, among other things, autopsies on behalf of the judiciary. In addition, she is a visual artist and has released a book, POST MORTEM, in which she has illustrated the entire autopsy.
Babette is the youngest forensic doctor in the country. She searches for the truth in every suspicious death in the autopsy room of the UZA and also makes detailed pen drawings of it. Babette shows us the beauty of an opened body. Culture Club already went to visit her in the autopsy room, she brought her story to De Tafel van Gert, and she shared the stage with the immensely popular ladies of De Volksjury. Every national newspaper and magazine brought an interview. The theme therefore speaks to the imagination. In her lecture, she dives deeper into the world of anatomical art and (forensic) autopsy.
