Exposition de sculptures monumentales au Square Armand Steurs

From 29 August, Square Armand Steurs will host the 34th edition of its annual exhibition, The Art Square, an event bringing together around thirty Belgian and international sculptors. This free exhibition invites people of all ages to discover contemporary sculpture in the heart of the urban landscape. Since 1993, Armand Steurs Square has hosted the only annual exhibition of monumental sculptures in Brussels, the capital of Europe. Over more than three decades, this event has become an unmissable highlight of the contemporary sculpture scene, transforming this listed Art Deco square into a veritable open-air museum. For its 34th edition, the exhibition brings together around thirty Belgian and international sculptors, including several renowned artists from France, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries. The works interact with the park’s vistas, vegetation and architecture, offering visitors a journey where contemporary sculpture blends naturally into the urban landscape. Beyond its artistic dimension, the exhibition champions a genuine cultural and social mission: to make art accessible to all. Installed right at the heart of the public space, the sculptures reach out to an audience that does not necessarily frequent museums or galleries. Every year, schools, families, local residents and groups of people with disabilities discover the sculptures free of charge.
