Musica Divina 2026: ClubMediéval & SPECTRA The cold and dark night

If there is one moment that can reveal truth, it must be at the stroke of midnight. And preferably on a quiet, gloomy, dark night. That is the premise of the chanson ‘La nuict froide et sombre’ by Orlandus Lassus. Flemish composer Daan Janssens got to work with the original and made an idiosyncratic arrangement for five instruments. Immortal repertoire in dialogue with newly composed music, with that idea ClubMediéval and SPECTRA got to work. Ockeghem inspired Harrison Birtwistle and regular value Frederik Neyrinck incorporates Bedyngham into a brand-new composed work: Memling Echo.
