Tao Ravao and Vincent Bucher form a renowned French-Malagasy duo that has been exploring the boundaries between Afro-blues and traditional Malagasy music for over 25 years. Tao Ravao is a true multi-instrumentalist from Madagascar who specializes in the valiha (bamboo zither), the kabosy (traditional guitar), krar, and lap steel guitar. Vincent Bucher a virtuoso harmonica player who is deeply rooted in the Chicago blues, but also strongly influenced by various African music styles. Their music is often described as a “new crossover” where blues, jazz, and the sounds of Madagascar come together.
