Frisse Oren - Tumbler

After the success of Wiegeling, Frisse Oren is once again developing a music performance for the very youngest. Tuimelaar is inspired by the enchanting, Asian-tinged compositions of the Taiwanese percussionist Yung-Tuan Ku. Together with clarinetist Rudi van Hest and trumpeter Sjoerd Pauw, she takes children from 6 to 18 months – and their (grand)parents – on a musical journey of discovery. In a soft, sheltered environment, they celebrate gravity and movement: rolling, tumbling, rolling around, tipping, and bouncing back. Intimate and open at the same time: tumbling for a moment, listening wonderfully swaying, or quietly dozing. Welcome to a sensory musical experience that stimulates, surprises, and makes you look back with a smile on places you may have never been before.
