SKRAM

Three acrobatic players try to literally and figuratively keep themselves standing while the ground under their feet constantly shifts. To stay upright, they have to constantly adapt. Running, tumbling, swaying, they try to stay on their feet. They cling to each other, to an edge… or to the hand of a spectator. With the audience around them and in a bath of haunting electronic music, the performers try to find a new balance between flying, sliding, falling, and catching. Should they strive for control? Or just learn to wobble very well? The musical circus theater experience SKRAM is an ode to resilience. An ode to the courage to wobble, take risks, fail, and get back up. SKRAM is a musical circus theater experience by Hanne Vandersteen & Mahlu Mertens, founders of Grensgeval. For their latest creation, they work with circus performer Jakob Lohmann, actor/performer Gytha Parmentier, and musician Elisabeth De Loore.
