With a continuous image presentation from 2 PM and a guided tour about the history of the church at 3 PM. The Sint-Amanduskerk in Puurs-Sint-Amands is a landmark with a rich history. Today, the roof, which dates from 1922-1924 after the destruction of WWI, is being thoroughly restored. Damage due to age and wood decay is being addressed, and through image projection, you get an insight into these works. During a guided tour, you will discover the eventful history of the church, with attention to fires, expansions since 1691, and the renovated interior (2022). There is a continuous presentation about the current restoration works and the interior restoration of 2022, with a guided explanation about the church history by Linda Caluwaerts at 3 PM.
