Girls Make The City - De Roddelrij - Wetopia and ZIJkant

Welcome to De Roddelrij. Here, on these benches by the water in Leopold Park, you will learn everything about the neighborhood. Curious? Scan the code and listen. Last summer, 19 girls and women united in Leopold Park for Girls Make The City. They differed in age and background, but shared a place - the park, their backyard - and a problem: they didn't feel safe here. Especially in the evening, none of them dared to cross the park. Together they went in search of the potential of Leopold Park to let it grow into a place where they do feel free, at any time of the day and night. One of their proposals was to bring De Roddelrij to life. People used to chat busily on these benches. Now it often remains quiet. However: the more people, the more conviviality and the more the park feels like home.
