Nekka Intimate: Augustijn Vermandere

Now that father Willem has stopped singing, son Augustijn continues to sing in West Flemish with 'full gusto'. Augustijn's songs hover between pop and cabaret, narrative pearls taken from life, full of (self-)relativization; his concerts are disarming and touch every audience. Augustijn once received wise advice from his father when he asked if he should give the audience what they wanted, or if he should do his own thing: “It is not OR, it is AND!” Black and white or color?
