We begin this walk at the cemetery itself to provide a historical sketch of how the midwife toad reached Rode. We will look at the work being done at the cemetery for the midwife toads. Since it is still light for a while, we will also make it a bit of a landscape walk through the Kwadebeek valley, arriving via a few surprising stops at the pond where the species has survived until now. There is a lot to tell here as well, but the highlight of the evening is definitely listening to the song of this little creature. Likely in the dark, we will then head back to the parking lot. Please provide sturdy footwear and perhaps a small light. Guides are Amelie and René.
