Lasse Vonck has been declared a prodigy and acclaimed by press and public as a young artist.
Thirty years later, that is no longer the case. That people have forgotten him over the years, he finds a fate to bear, but he is lost. He is looking for a goal, meaning.
On a spring day without luster, Lasse is so alienated from himself upon waking that he no longer knows who he is. He can't even speak anymore.
‘Confessie’ is inspired by the timeless and weatherless story ‘De Gedaanteverwisseling’ by Franz Kafka. It sketches a portrait of man as silent protest. It is a new theater text by Raven Ruëll, written for and played by Bruno Vanden Broecke. Both have been making performances together for 25 years, including the successful performances ‘Missie’ (2007), ‘Para’ (2016), and ‘Klink’ (also premiered in ‘t Blikveld in 2023).
Cast: Bruno Vanden Broecke / text & direction: Raven Ruëll / production: De Speelman
