Fun post-punk with a twist
Concert to look forward to and not to be missed, this. Lézard kicks up a fuss and does so with velvet gloves-to-which-they-sewed-toothpicks.
With a splashing mix of post-punk, disco, glam rock, new wave, and electroclash, the band moves on the fault line between comedy and tragedy. The debut album Que Se Passe t-il is a diorama in which heartbreakers, voyeurs, escapists, and dreamers mingle under a shattered disco ball. The hysterical chemistry between Neil Claes and Myrthe Asta, the witty funk-punk of Andreas Duchi and Roel Delplancke, and the arsenal of wriggling synthesizers of Viktor De Greef: together they form a sound that you cannot place but also cannot get rid of.
Van Pukkelpop to Eurosonic, from Reeperbahn to Best Kept Secret - Lézard conquered them all. The party phase is meanwhile in the rearview mirror. What remains is rebellious disco-punk that dominates body and mind in a stormy way.
