Phatmarks' Friday After Hours

Phatmark is back from having never truly been away. Now that we have successfully concluded the “Friends, Fools and Family 3” project, we look forward to the next chapter. For 2026 we proudly present Phatmark's Friday After Hours. With this series, we bring hip-hop to De Kelk in Bruges for five Friday evenings. Not grand mass events, but intimate evenings where the culture, craftsmanship and community surrounding hip-hop are given the space they deserve. Every evening we build a clear flow. We open the doors at 21:00 with warm-up sets, followed by an open mic where anyone who wants to can take the microphone for a moment. After that, we bring short showcases from artists from the scene, and we close with solid DJ sets. During one of the evenings, we also organize a battle night, with freestyle rap battles and a beatbox battle. The programming brings together established names and pioneers from the scene with local talent and new voices. Think of DJ sets by DJ Grazzhoppa, DJ Spin, DJ Tweet, among others, and showcases by artists such as Blade (UK), Samoerai, Aminah and many others. In this way we create a bridge between generations and give both established names and emerging talent a stage. The evenings are supervised by resident DJ Tweet (De Nihilisten), the driving force behind this project, and DB of Phatmark, co-founder of the iconic event De Bestn vant Westn. Together we want to once again create a place where hip-hop lovers come together and where the culture can continue to grow. Tickets will be available via phatmark.be.
