Bumblebee safari in the Victoria Regiapark (Gentbrugge)

Bumblebee Weekend! Bumblebee walks are being organized all over Flanders this weekend. Bumblebees are the fluffiest of our wild bees. Gently buzzing, you have surely seen them flying past, visiting a fruit blossom, or mysteriously disappearing underground. But how well do you really know them? Unknown is unloved, and we want to change that. During the bumblebee safari in the Victoria Regia Park, we will go looking for these busy pollinators with the neighbors. We will look at their comings and goings and approach them with (almost) all our senses…. You will receive an explanation about the park, and we will see how many species of bumblebees have found their way to this new green space (2018). We are going for the big six! How can you, as a local resident, make your environment bumblebee-friendly?!
