Sooner or later, the monster of the night visits every one of us. It is a strange visit: someone is in your room, and yet you feel very alone. The monster of the night has many names. Some call it ‘Fear’, or even ‘Death’. Others rather 'stress’ or just 'change’. The monster of the night can sometimes stand by your bed mouse-quiet. But very often it just cannot stop talking. And when the sun comes up, it is gone again. Mats Vandroogenbroeck and Jonas Baeke make an intimate performance about fear with ‘NACHT’. They show different figures who are crept up on by a scary feeling at night. But what happens if we say ‘hello’ to the monster? If we don't chase it away but talk to it? Are we still alone then? Are we still afraid then? ‘NACHT’ is the third collaboration of Mats and Jonas within youth theater. Their previous performances ‘Bambiraptor’ and ‘Infinity Forever’ were both selected for the TheaterFestival.
