Coffee with 'Bbkey'

Bbkey mainly brings music inspired by the golden years of the swing period, the thirties. Modern adapted arrangements give color to this famous music period of the glorious big bands. Songs like ‘I’ve got you under my skin’, ‘What a wonderful world’, ‘Bésame mucho’ or ‘Night and day’ reflect the atmosphere of the period. The band has a long history. Once started as the St.-Cecilia brass band, founded in 1862, and transformed into the big band Bbkey around 1995. The origin of the band lies in Kooigem, still the base of the group. Over the years, Bbkey has included a wide range of songs in its repertoire. The big band consists of 17 musicians led by conductor Stany Criel. Swing, soul, and pure passion are central during this afternoon. For the dance enthusiast who wants to venture a dance step, we keep space free.
