The story of the Poekebeek and the Oude Mandel

We cycle towards the Poekebeek spring and follow the valley of the Poekebeek via Ruiselede to Poeke and Vinkt. In doing so, we learn how Tielt was shaped scenically and historically by the Neercaele/Poekebeek and we look at a test section of the never-dug canal between Aalter and Gottem near the Axpoele district. We also pass through the castle domain of Poeke and visit the reflection space of WWII in Vinkt to return in a wide arc to Tielt from there. Distance: 40 km - start at 2:00 PM at the Hallentoren
