What a combo: theater maker Simon De Vos, actors and actresses Geert Van Rampelberg, Lukas Bulteel, Evelien Bosmans, Lotte Valckenaers and musician Tim Vanhamel sink their teeth into the graphic novel of graphic novels ‘Maus’. We are looking forward to this! TRAUM is the second performance by Roeshoofd, the company around Simon De Vos and Lukas Bulteel. For this new creation, they are inspired by the cult graphic novel ‘Maus’ by Art Spiegelman. Simon De Vos wrote a brand-new theater text for this. The piece investigates the relationship between a son and his father, survivor of the third great war, and the way in which family traumas work through for generations. In a frame story, we follow the conversations between son Siem and father Garnik, interspersed with imagined scenes from the parents' war past. TRAUM is a search for what traces a beastly past leaves on the generations that come after. Theater FroeFroe creates the animal heads. Geert Van Rampelberg, Lukas Bulteel, Evelien Bosmans and Lotte Valckenaers play. Tim Vanhamel (Millionaire) puts a nostalgic musical blanket over it. www.roeshoofd.be
