After an illness of more than 7 years, Katrien Claes died on November 6, 1991, as a result of two brain tumors. Barbara and Stefanie were nine at the time. Katrientje is a musical performance about the impact of grief on children, brothers, and sisters, but also on an adult life. Invisible grief Barbara and Stefanie remember mainly the silence, the distance, and the lack of physical comfort from that period. This profound and traumatic experience has a lasting effect on their lives to this day. Katrien's death took place in a time when people had few tools to deal with such grief. Met Katrientje Barbara and Stefanie delve into grief (in children), family constellations, and long-term psychological consequences. Conversations with their mother, their sisters, trauma experts, therapists, and their own experiences form the basis of a performance about the impact of (non-existent) grief on an adult life. Collectief Lucinda Ra Lucinda Ra is a collective of theater makers, jazz musicians, and visual artists, within which GOOD COMPANY supports the work of Barbara and Stefanie Claes. They walk between chaos, fantasy, and genius and cherish the richness of life, even if it is mainly rock-hard. According to them, something great is always the sum of many small things together.
