Bumblebee walk in the Kluizenbos

Equipped with nets and jars, we will go in search of bumblebees, our bees with a fur coat that are not mean. We catch them without hurting them, try to identify them by looking at their bottoms, and then release them back. Bumblebees are important pollinators, but did you know that they recognize each other by their body odor and have sweaty feet? That their nests can be hijacked by cuckoo bumblebees? That there are real “bumblebee fights” between the queens? We would love to tell you more about it.
