In the mood for a cozy summer evening full of humor? Then come to the TV Oost Vertellingen, a free open-air event with an hour of top comedy!
In the atmospheric setting of the Schuttershof, we welcome Bert Kruismans, one of the Original Gangsters, let's say the pioneers of both Flemish and French-language stand-up comedy in Belgium. In '97, he was at the cradle of ‘The Comedy Circus’, the very first Flemish stand-up comedy collective. For 5 years, he popped up everywhere in Flanders and the Netherlands with the company ‘Bonjour Micro’. It earned him the ‘Lunatic Comedy Award’ in '98 and a final place in Humo’s Comedy Cup in '99 and in 2000. He has since signed for 10 evening-filling solo shows in Dutch and 3 in French. In 2009, Bert Belgische wrote history. He was the first Flemish humorist to cross the language border with a French-language show ‘La Flandre pour les nuls’. A first performance was good for the ‘Prix des Cafés-théâtres’ at the Festival International du Rire de Rochefort. The performance toured for 3 years, was broadcast multiple times by the RTBF. Fragments appeared on Japanese television. On TV, he was a regular face in De Rechtvaardige Rechters on Canvas and he is known as the Slimste Mens (2004) and also the first Allerslimste Mens in the World (2011). On the RTBF, he presented the French-language version of the beer program Tournée Générale.
Bert Kruismans is therefore completely ready this year to conquer the Flemish stages again, including that of Sint-Gillis-Waas!
Bring your own (camping) chair and sit down for sharp jokes and a lot of laughter under the open sky! In case of bad weather, the event moves to JH Den Biel, so you don't have to miss anything.
The TV Oost Vertellingen are completely free, so take your friends, neighbors, and family along and enjoy a warm summer evening with a good portion of humor together.
