Salt marsh and mudflat walk

Brackish water nature is rare, unique nature that you can find along a stretch of the Zeeschelde. We will take you on the Groot Buitenschoor under the motto 'Watertezienis' (Water to see). The meeting point is at 10 am at the BASF e-pavilion. Waze will take you to the door if you enter “e-paviljoen BASF Antwerpen”. The entrance is via the side door at the entrance gate to the water treatment plants. Practical Well-fitting rubber boots are recommended for our walks. Are your boots too loose? A 2nd pair of socks can work wonders! We recommend clothing that can withstand a splash of mud. Langs de Schelde can certainly be the case in winter, the wind can cut sharply. Make sure you have good windproof clothing. The terrain is difficult to walk on, making the walk quite strenuous. We strongly advise people who have difficulty walking or have health problems against participating. Due to circumstances beyond our control – storms, unforeseen high water levels, etc. – it is always possible that the announced walk cannot take place.
