Alexander Vantournhout dives into his own souvenir collection and conjures a performance out of it. Sweaters, pants, and other clothing items he drapes and transforms into a choreographic story. Armholes appear in unexpected places, pant legs mutate into gala dresses, zippers open new dimensions. What first dangled motionless on a clothes hanger unfolds with acrobatics, dance, and imagination into a compelling scene. For the first time, Vantournhout creates for small viewers with big eyes.
