Shaping Stillness - Eve String Quartet & Evert Van Eynde

Shaping Stillness is more than a lying-down concert. It is a sensory experience in which music, image and space come together. The audience takes a seat on the stage, between the musicians. This way, you become not only a spectator, but also part of the performance. During the concert, visual projections fill the space. The environment slowly changes into a dreamy, almost surreal world that completely immerses you in the experience. Componist Evert Van Eynde writes music for percussion and strings in which rest and simplicity are central, but with many layers and detail. The program includes works from his Suite for string quartet and from his EPs The Shape of Stillness and Music for Marimba, String Quartet and Sub. In addition, you will also hear arrangements of music by Max Richter and Nils Frahm, which reinforce the intimate and quieting atmosphere of the evening.
