Needles & Roots Festival

With pride De Appelvink presents the very first edition of the Needles & Roots Festival! In the atmospheric surroundings of Cultuurfabriek Sijsele, near the charming Damme, we are launching a new, small-scale festival where authenticity, musicality, and experience are central. The programming is in the hands of none other than songwriter Gertjan Van Hellemont, alias Douglas Firs. During two days we welcome six special artists who bring their music in a pure, intimate setting. Expect no massive festival event, but a warm meeting place where artist and audience are close to each other and where the love for indie, folk, and roots music is fully celebrated. Also off-stage we focus on quality and coziness, with local catering, homemade drinks, and tasty snacks that perfectly match the atmosphere of the festival. With Needles & Roots Festival, De Appelvink wants to start a new tradition for music lovers who are looking for sincere concert experiences in a unique setting.
