Two choirs, one masterpiece: Bach's Mass in B minor
A Chantar from Leuven and La Noucelles from Braine-l'Alleud join forces for an exceptional musical project. On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of La Noucelles, both choirs together will perform the impressive Mass in B minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, one of the absolute masterpieces of classical music.
Bach's Mass in B minor is not considered a pinnacle of musical heritage for nothing. The monumental choral parts, the rich orchestration and the great expressive power make this work a unique experience – both for performers and listeners.
For this special project, the singers of both choirs unite their forces. Under the direction of Gabriel Hollander, together with five soloists and an orchestra of 23 musicians, they form an ensemble of more than 120 performers. A musical encounter across language and regional boundaries, with Bach as the common language.
We cordially invite you to experience this special concert.
