LIVE MUSIC - Marcelle is the project of singer-songwriter and producer Marte Truyers, who studied at the conservatory in Ghent. It is an ode to Marcel, her dead rooster, and to all uncles with beer bellies. Intimate and organic, she brings melodies that are fluidly longing and shiningly healing. Her songs are the comfort that hides behind a hug, while polyphonically flirting with that which already exists. The stubborn wanting that is not having to. Inspired by brunettes like Feist, Suzanne Vega, and The Be Good Tanyas, she plucks her way straight to everyone's center.
