That too is fate and that too I embrace with pleasure.” Jan Jaap van der Wal is now 10 years “Flemish person in training” and can no longer be imagined out of the Flemish theaters and on television. The love is mutual and, to celebrate that, Jan Jaap is bringing his biggest show to date in Flanders. “Because whether we go under due to a possible war, or a budget deficit, or we choke on a shrimp croquette at the sea; go under we will anyway and let us do it with a big smile then.” Jan Jaap van der Wal has been a comedian for almost thirty years and has made four full-evening shows in Flanders since 2015, including the acclaimed election conference “Geen Stem”. On television, he made a splash as a jury member of De Slimste Mens to the World and as a presenter of De Ideale Wereld and Jan Jaap Op Zondag.
