Ryelandt Festival - Tussen Stilte and Sound: the world of Joseph Ryelandt

Musicologist and Ryelandt specialist David Vergauwen presents a fascinating lecture-performance in which he brings the life and work of Joseph Ryelandt to life, while pianist Hans Ryckelynck performs music by Ryelandt and contemporaries. This is the first concert with the grand piano that Ryelandt used for most of his life and on which he composed most of his works. The instrument is with us in the Engels Klooster and has undergone a thorough restoration at Piano’s Maene. Music by J. Ryelandt, J. Brahms, Cl. Debussy, and J. Jongen.
