For composer Wim Henderickx the world was too small... He looked over distant horizons, peered at stars and planets and wrote music that was inspired by earth, fire, air and water.
Met Henderickx’s music as a starting point made Helene Bracke a performance that takes you on a journey through the universe. Stars and planets pass in review; each with their own character, color and temperament.
Two percussionists and a singer play for, between and with the audience and invite you for a journey past stardust, fiery celestial bodies, watery worlds and a thundering sun.
Helene Bracke studied classical music at the Conservatorium van Gent and specialized in opera. She emerged as a maker, director, scenographer and singer as a versatile artist within the music theater world. In 2025 she won the YAM Award for Beste Opera with A la vie, à la mort. - Forever.
