Spiegelfest

Last year the first edition of Spiegelfest was a resounding success. Our tent was almost bursting at the seams and the roof barely seemed able to handle the enthusiasm. The question therefore was: can we do even harder, more impressive and louder? We think so. Our line-up is one to make your mouth water. Blackout Protocol (8:00 PM – 9:00 PM) De Olense's entry for Nief Talent, Blackout Protocol, kicks off the evening. Firmly rooted in the Kempen clay, they bring a powerful set full of energy, convincing stage presence and a hefty dose of attitude. Expect a raw, intense live show with compelling interaction and a band that goes all out from the very first note. Belgian Asociality (9:45 PM – 11:00 PM) For many this will be a wonderful trip down memory lane. Belgian Asociality guarantees short, explosive and especially Dutch-language songs that combine their punk roots with influences from metal, gospel, ska and even house. Raw punk rock, absurd humor and unforgettable sing-alongs come together in one big party. With classics like Bompa Punk, Homo Erectus and Kakken op de Kerk, they undoubtedly turn the tent upside down. Expect an energetic show in which sharp social criticism and pure hilarity go hand in hand. Sons of Lioth (11:43 PM – …) We close the evening with a sturdy local product from Herenthout: Sons of Lioth. This metalpunk band has guaranteed explosive performances full of passion and power for twenty years. Their sound navigates between old-school heavy metal and straightforward punk madness. With rousing riffs, melodic guitars, original lyrics and a hefty portion of energy, they provide a banging closing chord. One thing is certain: Spiegelfest 2.0 will be an evening full of volume, energy and pure rock-'n-roll.
