Het Ensemble Mendelssohn, founded in 2002, focuses on the rich, but often still unexplored literature of string quintets and sextets. In almost twenty years, the ensemble has performed more than 80 quintets and sextets, including more than 30 world premieres and new works, by, among others, Jean-Pierre Deleuze, Stéphane Orlando, Hajime Fukagawa, Anna Segal, Ola Gjeilo, Michel Lysight, Guillaume Auvray, Jacqueline Fontyn, Hao-Fu Zhang, Claude Ledoux, Jan Freidlin and Victor Kissine. They have performed in the Benelux, Japan and Turkey, among others. These top musicians guarantee a fantastic concert!
