Great Paris

Leslie and Renard, two young inhabitants of a peri-urban town in Île-de-France, kill time between parking lots, roundabouts, shopping centers, and odd jobs. The discovery of a mysterious object on a construction site of the future metro of Grand Paris (this vast project supposed to redesign the Paris metropolis) tips their nocturnal wandering. Is it an ancient talisman or the relic of a vanished civilization? Halfway between social chronicle, science fiction, and light comedy, Martin Jauvat films the periphery without miserabilist decor, nor spectacular suburb, but as a territory in mutation, shaped by infrastructure, economic precariousness, and waiting.
