A consuming comedy
Robert and Chantal are a happily married couple. The passion might not be the same as when they first met, there is more than enough affection to keep their relationship in balance. Only a large pothole in the road surface, a sinkhole right in front of their front door, leads to chronic annoyance and above all to filthy, humid nuisance.
However, when Leon, Chantal's ex-husband and also her great love, suddenly shows up out of nowhere after twenty-five years, the balance is quickly lost. Excuses, intrigues, misunderstandings and lies cause hilarious situations while underneath the surface more is brewing than one might suspect and the sinkhole grows bigger and bigger.
THE SINKHOLE is a warm, deeply human comedy in which laughter and tears are each other's absolute allies.
Rarely has Cupid hit the target so precisely.
A tragicomedy about love, grief and a large gaping void.
