Merode Festival - Sara Salvérius & brass players: Breath

“New sound colors” Met Adem brings Sara Salvérius her accordion together with a quartet of wind players, each with their own background and sound world. The project starts from shared breathing as a source of sound and musical dialogue. Together they explore the wind that rushes through their instruments, sometimes on the melancholy tone of a whispered last word, sometimes with the exuberant character of a brass band. Between composition and improvisation, they celebrate life, farewell, and death, in a search for the cadence that gives rhythm to every life. Because everything is breath.
