He learned that a person always plans success in the future but never failure. And also that you better solve problems with your common sense instead of creating them. Over Karim Karim Shatla is a Bruges native who approaches current themes such as diversity and inclusion in an infectious way. He describes absurd situations that are hilarious and confronting, combined with the right dose of self-mockery. Maar Karim is also mainly chill, and who knows, he might play a tune on his guitar here and there. Karim won the “Jef Staes” award in March 2025 as the most promising comedian of the moment. As a result, he receives extra support for a year to throw himself into his comedy career.
